Floyd Lavine

Floyd Lavine is a South African-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer who grew up near Johannesburg and spent six years studying music and developing his sound in London before relocating to Berlin. His music draws on African rhythms, Afro house, deep house, and techno, blending organic grooves with electronic production in a style he describes as rooted in the African soul. He co-founded RISE, an Afro house collective and label that staged monthly events at Berlin's Watergate Club, and has released and remixed on labels including Innervisions, Ninja Tune, and his own imprint Afrikan Tales. His 2025 EP Mind Expansion on Agoria's Sapiens Records and features across BBC Music, Mixmag, and DJ Mag have further cemented his international profile.
