Our Mission Our mission is to create music-first experiences that bring people closer to the artists, the sound, and each other. Wondergate exists to support underground electronic music in San Diego by curating intimate events with intention, care, and respect for the culture behind the music. We are here to build more than events. We are here to build a community of Key Holders, Gatekeepers, and music lovers who believe the best nights are the ones created with purpose.

Who Are the Key Holders? The Key Holders are the people who make Wondergate what it is. They are the dancers, listeners, artists, friends, and familiar faces who show up for the music and the community behind it. At Wondergate, a Key Holder is more than a guest. They are part of the story — the ones who step through the gate, support the artists, and help shape the energy of each Wonder. The key is a symbol of access, trust, and belonging. To be a Key Holder is to be part of the Wondergate family.

Wondergate started with a belief that electronic music spaces could feel more intentional, more welcoming, and more connected to the people who make them special. As a woman-owned company, creating safer spaces has always been at the heart of what we do. We want our events to be places where women feel respected, comfortable, and free to enjoy the music without feeling watched, pressured, or unsafe. We also believe in discovery. Some of the most meaningful nights come from hearing an artist for the first time and realizing you found something special. That is why we care so much about thoughtful bookings — bringing artists to San Diego who deserve to be heard, not just artists everyone already knows.
