Born in Acapulco, Mexico, Cris Herrera relocated to the United States at age 12 and was shaped by the west coast underground house and hip-hop movements of the mid-nineties. Based in San Diego, he has spent over two decades as a central figure in the city's electronic music community, known for sets that range across acid, tribal, deep, and soulful house. He is co-founder of the Souleil Sundays event series and the West Coast Weekender festival, and has released music on Siesta Records and Moulton Music, including the South Beach Session 2023 mix compilation.
