Melé, born Krissy Peers, is a Liverpool-based DJ and producer known for a percussive, tribal house sound that blends world music-influenced house, transatlantic hip hop, UK underground sounds, and classic Chicago grooves. His 2015 track Ambience is widely credited with helping spark the resurgence of the tribal house movement, and his catalog spans releases on Defected Records, Eats Everything's Edible imprint, and Diplo's Higher Ground. In 2018 he founded Club Bad, a Liverpool-based event series and record label that has hosted consecutive sold-out shows and released music from a wide roster of artists. He recorded a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2019 and has toured extensively across the UK, Europe, and North America.
